Are you a Labour supporter? Would you like to help us?

We are always looking for willing volunteers. Perhaps you could spare a little time to:

  • deliver leaflets and newsletters near where you live
  • work with one of our campaign teams
  • help with the elections
  • use special skills you may have to help with drafting, leaflet design, printing and desk top publishing etc.

If you can help then please email our secretary.

Finally, if you haven't any spare time but still want to support us, we welcome donations. Anything you give directly supports our campaigning.
Please make cheques payable to Guildford Labour Party and send to the PO Box 80 address (top left), marked for the attention of the Treasurer.

Would you like to join the Labour Party?

Local groups get together to discuss the issue that affect them and we have regular meetings in central Guildford for all members about local and national issues.

What can you do as a member?

  • Find out what is actually going on in the Tory-controlled Borough and County Councils and put forward your ideas on local issues direct to our councillors.
  • Join in Policy Forum discussions and have your say on the big national issues, and help shape Labour's future policies.
  • Stand as a Labour candidate and make a real difference in the community.
  • Hear Cabinet Ministers, MPs and MEPs speaking on their special areas of expertise without any media distortion, and then question them face to face.
  • Join in our many campaigns across the Borough. Maybe you have some special expertise to offer. Help to keep out the Tories and Lib Dems.
  • Get involved and meet like-minded members across the Borough. We have various social events throughout the year and usually get together in the local pub after meetings or campaign activities.
  • Get the latest information and news direct to your PC from the Labour Party and Government Ministers. Receive a free quarterly members magazine.
It's not all the fun and excitement of politics! Sometimes we check out the state of the local scenery. The group on the right, that includes our Parliamentary Candidate Karen Landles (on the left), is preparing for a Sunday walk in the Surrey Hills led by Richard Chaundy of our Cranleigh Branch. An excellent lunch in the Cranleigh Royal British Legion Club followed. Labour hikers
