Developments in Guildford
The South East Plan envisages Guildford as
a future centre of economic activity, meaning more development including housing.
Opponents want no more building here. The need to accept Guildford as a regional
hub and the urgent requirement for more housing is explained. more
17,000 over 60s received their free bus pass this month. It allows them to travel on buses anywhere in the country for NOTHING. We understand that right-wing Tories, who oppose any form of public spending, were very keen to get their hands on their free passes !!!

site redevelopment
A 200 house estate will go ahead on the
vacated Ministry site. The percentage of affordable housing will be no
more than 35% in spite of agreement by all parties that it should be higher.
