What next for Cranleigh Hospital?

Bad roads and terrible road contracts
Surrey is widely regarded as the pothole capital of the UK. Bad management, supervision and poor financial control of road contracts have caused it. Now the Tory leadership at County Hall was blaming the Government.

School Buses axed
The children and their parents love the Pegasus service. Parents can go to work knowing that their children will arrive at school safely and on time. The Tory leader praised it when it opened. Now the Tory County Council can't afford it, even though it is a much needed service.      more

Severe criticism of the County Council
The Tory-controlled County Council was given the lowest possible ratings by the Audit Commission for adult and children's services. The interim chief executive wrote a damning report criticising the management and leadership. It could and should have been discussed in the last local elections.  Why was it deliberately suppressed?             more

Troubles ahead for Spectrums and its Users?
Currently regarded as the most successful local leisure centre in the country, the council is now indicating that it will not be able to meet its financial commitments in the future. It is proposing to privatise it. How has it let things get into this sorry state? It is not good news for either the users or the employees.
